Dr. Qaqundah is a clinical professor of Pediatrics at the University of California, Irvine, and a Diplomat of Child Health from the University of London. He is board certified in Pediatrics and Allergy/Immunology. Dr. Qaqundah has been practicing pediatrics and allergy/ immunology in Huntington Beach, California, for over 30 years.

With other AAP members, he started an AAP Chapter in Orange County (OC) and was the Charter president, served on many committees and has been the chair of the School Health and Nutrition Committee since the inception of the chapter. He is the Lead AAP Delegate at the CMA House of Delegates.
Dr. Qaqundah has been the Chief of Pediatrics at Fountain Valley Hospital then Hoag hospital over the past 15 years. Most recently, Dr. Qaqundah was appointed by the State Board of Education to serve as a member of the Content Review Panel to evaluate instructional material for the 2004 Health Primary Adoption (Health curriculum from K-8). On October 18, 2004, Dr. Qaqundah was selected by the Orange County Medical Association as a Physician of Excellence 2005-2006 in the field of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology.
